Server Room in the Kitchen

A series of articles describing the process of setting up a personal server room at home. This project was on my mind for a long time — so long, in fact, that I had been mentally planning it for years. Then it took another year and a half to actually bring it to life.

DOOMSUN E32-FNC

In this series of articles, you’ll learn about a project to build a compact desktop CNC mill, primarily designed for working with aluminum. That’s the official story. But, to be honest, when the project started, there weren’t any specific plans for how the machine would be used. Then again, as they say, necessity is the mother of invention.

MARSH TURRET

Building my own 3D printer from scratch was my destiny from the very start. The moment I got into this geeky world called “3D printing” a few years ago, it was already set in stone — I just didn’t realize it right away. And let me tell you, this happens to EVERYONE who dares to take this path. EVERYONE!!!

Resisting Mantis

If I were to write a blog post about every single nut and bolt in a printer, I’d likely run out of keyboard letters long before I’d manage to cover even half the device.

    MARSH TURRET: General Assembly

The usual logical order for the brain is the X-Y-Z sequence. However, when building this type of printer, it’s more practical to follow a Y-Z-X sequence.

Breaking tradition, this project starts with a relatively brief foreword — and an advertisement. After all, if we’re discarding traditions, why not go all in?
